What are the power requirements and costs associated with running a masking system?

The cost for operating a Lencore sound masking system is negligible. The same amount of electricity used for a 100 watt light bulb can power a roughly 36,000 sq. ft. masking system. The life cycle of a typical Lencore System is more than 20 years, with no maintenance. Most other systems, especially centralized systems, have much shorter life cycles and require yearly maintenance. Scrutinize the warranty and serviceability. Lencore offers a full 10-year warranty with no required maintenance.

What kind of warranties should I look for?

Make sure the company that you choose has been manufacturing the product at least as long as the warranty it offers. There are many products on the market today, but unfortunately, many have not been time-tested. You'll want a product that offers a minimum of a 10-year full warranty — and that is from the date of installation, not the date of manufacture!
