Networked Direct – Field Sound Masking System
Direct-field systems deliver sound directly into a space much like paging systems have done for decades. These systems are most useful for spot treatments or when budget, ceiling or site conditions prevent you from using an in-plenum speaker, such as when a gypsum ceiling is present. The CrossNet™ masking system uses a multi-drop network capable of being tuned through a network, LAN or wireless hand-held remote. The system is designed in such a way that individual speaker or component failure will have no impact on the balance of the system.
The CrossNet™ system includes digital signal processors, electronic noise generators, amplifiers, wiring, loudspeakers, controls and components to generate, amplify, distribute and reproduce digitally synthesized and stabilized background sound masking to create speech privacy. In addition, the system's Music Page Interface replaces all the bulky head-end equipment that is typically associated with music paging systems, and provides end users with the ability to program 100 zones and up to 1.5 million square feet. CrossNet™ generates and integrates multiple random sound masking sources by using E-sound® technology which equates to the best sound and effective sound masking.
The system is capable of performing complete diagnostic functions and uses an open platform operating system (LonTalk®). CrossNet™ utilizes off the shelf browser software for full manipulation without any proprietary software.
The system requires no ongoing maintenance and is manufactured with high levels of recycled content and within strict environment guidelines.
