SPEC™
(Sound, Privacy and Evaluation Criteria) Software
Lencore's SPEC™ (Sound and Privacy Evaluation Criteria) software serves as an acoustical and diagnostic analysis tool for sound masking and paging systems. The computer program is able to qualify and analyze the acoustical performance levels of a facility before and after a sound masking system has been incorporated. The software enables a fact-based approach to analyzing and predicting spatial and temporal uniformity of sound for sound masking. It can further predict the improvement of privacy levels in a space before and after the proposed masking system is installed. This program can document speech privacy levels for corporate and healthcare spaces and can be used to document safeguards undertaken to meet federal mandates for oral privacy such as HIPAA and GLBA.
The program can produce a Privacy Index Report™ that includes details about how the sound masking and/or paging system will perform, including:
- Decibel levels and variances at speakers, between speakers, floor and ceiling
- Speech privacy levels after installation
- Articulation index after installation
- Sound masking coverage
The software gives an accurate formula to follow to help companies meet privacy and articulation standards for any space.
