Function

The step-down transformers provided by Lencore are industry listed by UL and/or CSA for electrical safety. For masking only, Model # 16P40 can handle up to 16 masking units. Our larger transformer, Model # 95T-16 can handle up to 78 masking units.

Where paging is incorporated, each transformer handles approximately 33 masking units. The transformers step down from 120 AC voltage to 16v AC voltage. One 95 T-16 model can be attached to a standard junction box. Please note: It is recommended that final hookup of transformer to building power always be performed by an electrician (For 95T-16 only).

A step-down transformer drops the voltage from 120VAC to 16VAC. It is required to power Lencore’s Classic sound masking system.

The main function of a step-down transformer is to drop the voltage from 120VAC to 16VAC. This significantly decreases power loss and ensures a safer use. It is required to power Lencore’s Classic sound masking system.

A step-down transformer is necessary to reduce power loss and ensure a safer use. This makes for a more efficient use of energy and is required for Lencore’s Classic sound masking system.

The most common uses for step-down transformers is to reduce the higher voltage from the power source to the required lower voltage level, allowing the equipment to operate within its specified range. This is commonly used in cell phone chargers, welding machines, voltage stabilizers, and speakers. Lencore’s Classic sound masking system.
